I enjoyed this one even more than the first in the series. The author did a great job "maturing" Cat's character, allowing her to grow strong without Bones, but yet still remain emotionally vulnerable where he's concerned. The pace was also better than in the first, and there weren't near as many contrived scenes - everything just seemed to flow better and was more realistic. I love the author's characterization of Bones - so committed to Cat, and willing to risk everything to get her (and keep her this time). The steam was great and although I got a little squeamish with all the talk of other lovers (never a highlight for me in romances or paranormals), the author did a great job of turning even that into a way of proving the strength of Bones' love for Cat. A great read, overall. Moving on to the next one in the series...
