This is the story of Kiowa and Amanda
Amanda is the President's daughter. The vote for Breed Law is coming up and the Breed association doesn't want anything to go wrong so they put a body guard on Amanda to make sure no one can blackmail the president to vote in another direction.
Kiowa is a Coyote Breed who happens to be the body guard that is assigned to guard her from a distance, along with the Secret Service detail assigned by the president himself.
Kiowa is sitting outside her home in an unmarked car watching her give out Halloween Candy. She is dressed as a sexy red devil - which of coarse makes Kiowa have a lot of "lust" for her. Some bad men move in to kidnap her and the Secret Service failed to keep her safe. So now it is up to Kiowa to move in and do the job that no one else can seem to do. Kiowa kills all the bad men and takes Amanda somewhere safe to protect her.
Some how Kiowa kissed her while she was a little dazed and confused - And there is where the story starts... As you know, if you are a Breed fan - after that first kiss the heat sets in and there is no stopping it.
This is the best of the Breed books so far. I actually saw love in this couple where usually it is mainly about "heat". Kiowa is the best Alpha, but he actually loves her very much and tells Amanda that he loves her in beautiful words when he opens up to her. That usually doesn't happen in the books. I mean they do fall in love at the end, but he was that way almost in the beginning. Really great book...You know, it is funny - they say Coyote Breeds don't have a soul. It turns out they have more heart and soul than any other breeds to me.
